FAQs
Frequently asked questions
What vascular concerns can be treated?
Laser treatment is effective for a range of vascular concerns, including spider veins on the legs, hemangiomas (small red dots in the skin that are very common), facial redness, broken capillaries, rosacea related vascular changes, and other vascular lesions. Your doctor will assess your specific concern during your consultation and recommend the most appropriate treatment approach.
How does vascular laser treatment work?
Vascular laser treatments use targeted light energy to heat and damage the walls of unwanted blood vessels, causing them to collapse and be gradually reabsorbed by the body. The surrounding skin remains unaffected. Over time the treated vessels fade and become less visible or disappear entirely.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on the type, size, and location of the vascular concern being treated. Some patients see significant improvement in just one to two sessions, while others with more extensive or persistent concerns may require additional treatments. Your doctor will give you a realistic estimate during your consultation based on your specific case.
What is the cost?
Cost depends on the area being treated, the type of vascular concern, and the number of sessions required. Your doctor will provide an accurate estimate during your consultation once your treatment plan is established.
What are the risks?
Like all medical treatments, vascular laser treatment carries known risks. We address these thoroughly during your consultation so you can make a fully informed decision.
Am I a good candidate for vascular laser treatment?
Most patients with spider veins or vascular lesions are good candidates for laser treatment. Skin tone, the size and depth of the vessels, and overall health are all factors your doctor will assess during your consultation. An in-person evaluation is the best way to determine whether laser treatment is the right approach for your specific concern.
What should I avoid before my treatment?
In the weeks before your treatment we recommend avoiding sun exposure and tanning. Certain medications that affect blood flow or increase photosensitivity may also need to be paused prior to treatment. Your doctor will review your medical history and provide specific preparation instructions tailored to your treatment plan during your consultation.
What should I expect after treatment and is there any downtime?
Most patients experience mild redness and some swelling in the treated area immediately after treatment, which typically resolves within a few days. Treated vessels may appear darker initially before gradually fading over the following weeks. Downtime is generally minimal and most patients return to normal activities shortly after their session.
When will I see results?
Treated vessels begin to fade gradually over several weeks to months as the body reabsorbs them. Final results are typically visible within one to three months after each session. Your doctor will set realistic expectations during your consultation based on your specific vascular concern and treatment plan.

"So many people live with chronic facial redness and have simply accepted it as part of how they look, not realizing that something can be done about it. Many of them have rosacea without ever having been told. Being able to target and eliminate that redness and those vascular changes creates a meaningful difference in how people feel about their appearance every single day. I know this firsthand, because I am one of those patients. Experiencing that change myself only deepened my appreciation for what this treatment can do for my patients."

"There is something deeply satisfying about watching vessels collapse in real time during a vascular laser treatment. Sometimes it genuinely seems like magic. It never gets old, and every time I find myself wanting to just sit back and watch the whole thing unfold. See you never again, stubborn vessels."

What our doctors have to say about wrinkle relaxers
BEFORE & AFTER
Every Result Has a Story

Treatment type: Vascular Laser Treatment for Hemangioma of the Nose
Patient Concern: A small but clearly visible round hemangioma sat at the top of his nose, right in the center of his face. It was not painful or medically concerning, but its location made it impossible to ignore. He had lived with it for years, never realizing it was something that could actually be treated.
Treatment Plan: After a thorough assessment to confirm the nature and depth of the lesion, we designed a targeted vascular laser treatment plan to collapse the vessel and allow it to be reabsorbed naturally by the body. The location and size made it a strong candidate for a precise, focused approach.
Results: The hemangioma is gone after one treatment. What was once the first thing he saw in every photo and every mirror is no longer there. He told us he wished he had done it sooner, not because it was a complicated process, but because the result was so much simpler than years of living with something that did not have to be there.

Your Consultation Is Where It All Starts
Before any treatment is discussed, your doctor sits down with you. Not a coordinator, not a patient intake manager. Your doctor.

Your doctor will begin by taking the time to understand what brought you in and what you are hoping to achieve. From there they will perform a comprehensive facial assessment, evaluating your unique anatomy, facial profile, skin condition, and movement patterns. They will share their findings, walk you through what they are seeing, and make sure you leave with a clear understanding of your options. This is not a formality. It is the foundation of everything that follows, because a plan that is right for someone else may not be right for you. We do not rush this part.

From there we walk you through your options honestly, discuss what we believe is appropriate, and build a personalized plan around your goals. We only recommend what we genuinely believe in, and we hold ourselves to the same standard we would expect for our own family.

You will leave with clarity, a plan you feel confident in, and every question answered. Whether you proceed with a treatment that day or not, you will leave informed.
Overview
Most people who come to us for wrinkle relaxers are not looking for a dramatic transformation. They want to look like themselves, just without the fatigue and tension that has quietly accumulated over time. What they want most is to feel confident and look their best, in a way that leaves people noticing something is different but unable to quite put their finger on why.

That is exactly the outcome we design for. At PI Aesthetics, every treatment is planned around your specific anatomy, your facial movement, and what makes you look like you. Our aesthetic-trained doctors bring both clinical precision and artistic judgment to every consultation, because knowing where to treat is only half of the work. Knowing how much, and when to stop, is what separates a result you love from one you don’t.

Wrinkle relaxers can also address TMJ-related jaw tension, teeth grinding, and chronic jaw discomfort by calming the muscles responsible for those patterns. If that is part of your picture, it is worth bringing up during your consultation.
Our Patients, In Their Own Words
Every Result Has a Story

Treatment type: Wrinkle relaxers for Forehead, between the brows (11's) and Crows Feet
Patient Concerns: She was getting enough sleep but her face was not showing it. The tension in her upper face made her look more tired and serious than she actually felt, and her expressions were not reflecting how she wanted to come across.
Treatment Plan: We designed a personalized plan to relax the upper face and around the eyes just enough to soften that tension while keeping her expressions natural.
Results: She loves her results. She looks and feels more rested. People close to her noticed something was different and told her she looked great, but could not quite put their finger on why. That is exactly the outcome we design for.

Treatment: Wrinkle relaxers for crow's feet.
Patient Concern: The lines around her eyes had deepened over time to the
point where they were the first thing she noticed in the mirror, making her look more tired and older than she actually felt on the inside. What bothered her most was that the tension around her eyes had gradually changed their shape, softening an almond shape she had always loved and that felt like a defining part of her face.
Treatment Plan: We focused treatment precisely around the outer eye area,
softening the muscles responsible for those deeper lines and that inward tension. Bringing her outside into alignment with how she feels inside, and to restore something she had quietly missed.
Results: The lines softened, the tension released, and the shape of her eyes came back in a way that felt completely natural. She looked rested. She finally felt like her face and eyes was matching the person she knew herself to be.

Treatment: Wrinkle relaxers for the forehead and between the eyebrows (11's)
Patient Concern: She had noticed gradual changes in her face over time, but it was hearing from people close to her that she looked tired or seemed to be aging quickly that finally brought her in. Her face was not reflecting how she actually felt.
Treatment Plan: We focused on the forehead and the area between the brows, where years of expression and tension had created lines that were reading as tiredness. We designed a plan to soften that tension precisely while preserving her natural expressiveness.
Results: The lines softened, the heaviness between her brows lifted, and her face came back into alignment with how she actually felt. The comments from people close to her shifted too. Instead of asking if she was tired, they told her she looked great. She left feeling like the outside had finally caught up with the inside.
What our doctors have to say about wrinkle relaxers
"Neuromodulators, also known as wrinkle relaxers, are one of my favorite treatments. The results require a higher degree of artistry than most people realize. There are plenty of standard approaches out there, but the best results come when your doctor has the experience and knowledge to adjust the treatment to your individual muscles and anatomy, creating something that is truly tailored to you. The difference it makes in appearance is remarkable, especially over time."
– Federico Fenton MD
"Wrinkle relaxers truly make a difference, and not just in how people look. When those lines soften and that tension releases, something shifts. Patients carry themselves differently, feel more at ease, and show up to their day with a quiet confidence they had been missing. My favorite moments are when patients come back and tell me that people close to them have been asking if they went on vacation or are getting more rest, or commenting that they look great but cannot quite put their finger on why. That is exactly what we are going for. It is our little secret."

FAQs
Wrinkle relaxers, also known as neuromodulators, are injectable treatments that work by gently relaxing targeted facial muscles to soften fine lines and wrinkles while preserving your natural expression. At PI Aesthetics, we carry multiple brands to ensure we select the right product for your specific goals and anatomy.
For many first-time patients, the biggest hesitation is seeing frozen or expressionless results in others and worrying that the same could happen to them. At PI Aesthetics, natural-looking results are not just a goal, they are our standard.
Results typically last between 3 and 4 months, though this varies depending on the areas treated, the product used, and individual factors such as muscle activity and metabolism. Around week 6 you will gradually begin to notice movement returning, with full baseline muscle activity resuming by the end of the cycle.
The most commonly treated areas are the forehead, the lines between the brows, and crow's feet. Wrinkle relaxers can also be used to treat jaw tension and teeth grinding by calming overactive chewing muscles, as well as other areas, depending on your goals. Your doctor will assess which areas are appropriate for you during your consultation
Cost depends on the areas treated and the amount of product required. Wrinkle relaxer treatments at PI Aesthetics typically start at $400 per session. During your consultation, we will assess the amount needed and provide you with an accurate price.
Like all medical treatments, neuromodulators carry known risks. We address these thoroughly during your consultation so you can make a fully informed decision. Our team is specifically trained to manage possible complications, and we approach every treatment with a high degree of clinical care and thoughtfulness.
In the days before your treatment, we recommend avoiding alcohol and, if medically able, NSAIDs such as ibuprofen and other medications that can increase bleeding.
There is no expected downtime. Some mild redness or tenderness at the injection sites is normal and typically resolves quickly.
Results typically begin to appear within 3 to 5 days and continue to develop over the following two weeks, by which time the full effect can be appreciated. We schedule your follow-up appointment after that point to assess your results once they have fully settled.
Overview
Spider veins and persistent facial redness are among the most common skin concerns we see, and among the most undertreated. Many patients have lived with them for years, assuming they were simply part of how their skin looked now. They are not. Vascular laser treatments work by delivering targeted light energy directly into unwanted vessels, causing them to collapse and fade naturally as the body reabsorbs them over time. The surrounding skin remains unaffected.

At PI Aesthetics our doctors use vascular laser technology to treat spider veins on the legs, facial redness, rosacea related vascular changes, and other vascular lesions. Results develop gradually over several weeks following each session, and most patients find the process straightforward with minimal disruption to their routine. Your doctor will give you a clear and honest picture of what to expect during your consultation, including how many sessions are likely needed for your specific concern.

As with all our laser treatments, the quality of your outcome depends on both the technology and the clinical judgment behind it. Every protocol is established by our aesthetic trained doctors and tailored specifically to your skin and vascular concern. We assess carefully, plan precisely, and treat with a standard of care that reflects how seriously we take your results.
