Your Consultation Is Where It All Starts
Before any treatment is discussed, your doctor sits down with you. Not a coordinator, not a patient intake manager. Your doctor.

Your doctor will begin by taking the time to understand what brought you in and what you are hoping to achieve. From there they will perform a comprehensive facial assessment, evaluating your unique anatomy, facial profile, skin condition, and movement patterns. They will share their findings, walk you through what they are seeing, and make sure you leave with a clear understanding of your options. This is not a formality. It is the foundation of everything that follows, because a plan that is right for someone else may not be right for you. We do not rush this part.

From there we walk you through your options honestly, discuss what we believe is appropriate, and build a personalized plan around your goals. We only recommend what we genuinely believe in, and we hold ourselves to the same standard we would expect for our own family.

You will leave with clarity, a plan you feel confident in, and every question answered. Whether you proceed with a treatment that day or not, you will leave informed.
BEFORE & AFTER
Every Result Has a Story

Treatment type: Laser treatment for pigmentation
Patient Concern: Pigmented sun-spots and freckling had become increasingly noticeable over time. She loved being outdoors but had grown self-conscious about the unevenness in her complexion and wanted to address it without significant downtime.
Treatment Plan: We designed a personalized series of non-ablative laser treatments targeting the pigmentation responsible for her uneven tone. The series approach allowed us to achieve progressive, controlled improvement while keeping her recovery (downtime) to a minimum.
Results: The results exceeded what she had hoped for. Her complexion is now significantly more even, with the dark spots and freckling that had bothered her for years now resolved.

I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience at PI Aesthetic Med Spa! From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. The team is so knowledgeable and took the time to really listen to what I wanted.
My Botox and filler results are absolutely beautiful subtle, refreshed, and still completely me. They enhanced my features without ever looking overdone. I've never felt this confident in my skin. Every time I look in the mirror, I just feel so good. They're also helping with my hyper pigmentation and skin care with options I never knew existed, despite having been to several dermatologists previously.
If you're considering Botox, filler, or just enhancing your skin care, this is the place to go. Professional, talented, and truly an amazing experience from start to finish. I'm beyond happy with my results!!
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
What pigmentation concerns can be treated?
IPL and laser treatments are effective for a range of pigmentation concerns, including sun-damaged skin, sunspots, freckles, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and other pigmentation disorders. Melasma can also be treated, though it requires particularly thoughtful consideration as it responds differently from other pigmentation concerns, and outcomes can vary. Your doctor will assess your specific pigmentation and recommend the most appropriate treatment during your consultation.
What is IPL and how does it differ from laser?
IPL, or intense pulsed light, uses a broad spectrum of light wavelengths to target pigmentation and other skin concerns. Unlike lasers, which concentrate a single wavelength of light, IPL delivers a range of wavelengths simultaneously. Both IPL and laser are effective for pigmentation, and your doctor will determine which is best suited to your specific skin type and concerns.
Can you treat tattoos?
We do offer laser tattoo removal, though our primary focus is treating skin pigmentation concerns. Not all tattoos are suitable candidates for laser treatment, as factors such as ink color, depth, and skin type all affect outcomes. An in person assessment is required to determine whether your tattoo can be effectively treated. Please reach out to schedule a consultation and we will give you an honest evaluation.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on the type and severity of your pigmentation concern, as well as the treatment being used. Some concerns respond well in a small number of sessions while others require a longer series. Your doctor will recommend a personalized plan during your consultation.
What is the cost?
Cost depends on the type of treatment, the area being treated, and the number of sessions recommended. Because of the broad range of sessions needed between different types of pigmentation, only an in person evaluation can provide an accurate cost estimate.
Am I a good candidate for IPL and laser pigmentation treatments?
Patients with darker skin tones and certain medical conditions require careful assessment, as certain treatments carry a higher risk of pigment changes in those with more melanin. Your doctor will evaluate your skin type and pigmentation during your consultation and recommend the safest and most effective approach for you.
What should I avoid before my treatment?
In the weeks before your treatment, we recommend avoiding sun exposure and tanning, as recent sun exposure increases the risk of complications. Certain medications and skincare ingredients may also need to be paused prior to treatment. Your doctor will provide specific preparation instructions tailored to your treatment plan during your consultation.
What should I expect after treatment and is there any downtime?
Most patients experience mild redness and some darkening of the treated pigmentation immediately after treatment, which is a normal part of the process. The darkened spots typically flake off over the following days to weeks, revealing clearer skin underneath. Downtime is generally minimal, though this can vary depending on the intensity of treatment. Your doctor will give you a clear picture of what to expect based on your specific treatment plan.
When will I see my results?
Some improvement is visible within one to two weeks as treated pigmentation sheds from the skin. More significant and lasting results develop over the following weeks and months as the skin continues to heal and renew. Multiple sessions are typically needed for optimal results, and your doctor will set realistic expectations during your consultation.

"IPL is one of the most versatile tools in aesthetic medicine. What I appreciate most is its ability to address multiple concerns simultaneously, evening out skin tone, reducing pigmentation, and improving overall skin clarity in a single treatment. What many people do not realize is how much the outcome depends on the provider taking the time to thoughtfully adjust the parameters to each individual patient. IPL done well requires real expertise and careful calibration”

"What I love about IPL is that it targets exactly what bothers patients most, the spots, the redness, the unevenness. Watching pigmentation and redness fade away and seeing even, clear skin emerge underneath never gets old."

What our doctors have to say about IPL and laser for pigmentation
Overview
Skin that looks uneven, spotted, or dull has a way of making you look more tired and older than you actually are, even when everything else about how you look and feel tells a different story. For many patients it is not one dramatic concern but an accumulation of small things, a sunspot here, uneven tone there, an overall lack of the clarity and brightness their skin used to have. IPL and laser treatments are among the most effective tools available for addressing exactly that.
At PI Aesthetics we use both IPL and targeted laser technology to treat sunspots, uneven skin tone, post-inflammatory pigmentation, and overall skin clarity. Both approaches work by delivering precise light energy into the skin to target and break down unwanted pigmentation, allowing it to shed naturally and reveal clearer skin underneath. The right choice between them depends on your specific skin type, pigmentation concern, and goals, and that is a decision your doctor will guide during your consultation. What matters is that both are performed with the same standard of clinical care and the same commitment to results that are genuinely worth it.
As with all our laser treatments, the quality of your outcome depends as much on the expertise setting the parameters as it does on the technology itself. Every protocol at PI Aesthetics is established by our aesthetic trained doctors and calibrated specifically to your skin. We do not guess. We assess, we plan, and we treat with precision.
We also treat pigmentation concerns beyond the face, including underarm and intimate area pigmentation for the right candidates. And for patients interested in tattoo removal, we offer laser tattoo removal as well, though we recommend an in person assessment to determine whether your specific tattoo is a good candidate for treatment.
